ABOUT URINETOWN THE MUSICAL:

A hilarious satire of bureaucracy, capitalism, and climate catastrophe… it’s a musical about pee, but it’s way deeper than that. And… it’s pretty timely.

Winner of three Tony Awards, Urinetown: The Musical is a bold, irreverent comedy that skewers politics, greed, and corporate control—all wrapped in the guise of a wildly entertaining musical. In a future where a devastating drought has made private toilets illegal, citizens must pay to pee at government-run facilities controlled by the ruthless Urine Good Company.

Enter Bobby Strong, a charismatic rebel who dares to challenge the system and fight for the people’s right to free relief. Alongside the idealistic Hope Cladwell, daughter of the company’s CEO, Bobby sparks a revolution that asks big questions about power, justice, and what happens when profit comes before people. With show-stopping numbers, outrageous characters, and constant fourth-wall breaks, Urinetown is both a loving parody of musical theatre and a sharp social commentary.

Brilliantly funny and unexpectedly smart, Urinetown proves that even the silliest premise can deliver a powerful message. Come for the laughs, stay for the satire—and prepare to be shocked by how relevant this “pee musical” really is.

  • YES, IT’S CALLED URINETOWN. YES, IT WON BEST MUSICAL.

    – Time Out
